ईशावास्यमिदं सर्वं  

ee-shaa-waas-ya-mi-dam sar-wam

यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत्। 

yat-kin-cha ja-gat-yaam ja-gat

तेन त्यक्तेन भुञ्जीथा: 

ten tyak-ten bhun-jee-thaah

मा गृध: कस्यस्विद्धनम्।। 

maa gridhah kas-ya-swid-dha-nam

All this here, is permeated by Brahman [The Supreme Soul],
whatever there is in this world.
Enjoy things by renunciation.
Do not covet others' wealth.

 

जो कुछ है इस जगत में, प्रभु का कृपा-प्रसाद.
देने का आनंद लें, तजें मोह का स्वाद.          -- संजीव 'सलिल'
