O MY FRIEND
SANJIV VERMA "SALIL"
*

Dearest!

come along

live with me

share the joys and 

sorrows of life. 

Hand in hand and

the head held high

let's walk together

to win the ultimate goal.

I admit 

I'm quite alone and 

weak without you. 

You are no better 

without me.

But remember

to get Shiva

Shav becomes Shiv

and sings the song of creation

HE adorns this universe

Himself. 

Bulid a new future 

as soon as 

reaches the Goal

select a new one. 

You created a universe

out of nothing

and tended your breath 

with untiring love.

Even when it was

Amavasya- the darkest night

you worshipped full moon.

Always wished more 

and more achievements

to set new goals.

Collect all your sources 

and sing the songs

of new creation.

Keep on hoping

again and again.

Develop a thirst

and finally be contended.

Let your arms be 

as vast as sky,

you only need to advance

and the formless

will assume form

to create a new universe.

O Dearest!

Nicely behave by: hasmukh amathalal

I am simple and villager
But good to ears as manager
Can listen to natural music
Understand its language and basic

It is not difficult to understand or oblige
We feel very much part and realize
That we belong to nature
And there is surely a bright future

God too is happy with this formula
Floral beauty can be expressed in no stanzas
The flowers can be seen from distance
Its fragrance can be smelt at once

Nature only teaches us to love
Have firm faith and believe
That primarily we are human
We can’t be hunter or gunman

Cuckoo has no business to air melody
Sing in the praise of world and almighty
We can pick the thread of humanity
That world belongs to all with certainty

Try to speak in right way even if it is wrong
You may still feel closer and among
The approach may force you to change style
It is commended and felt worthwhile

We remain attached to worldly things
That forces us to crush nature’s wings
Block the river flow and remove forests
The greenery can provide us very best

Nature is never different
Was not in past or remain so in present
We got be tolerant about natural existence
That should be the approach and insistence

If we can’t make heaven
Let that remain hygienic even
Let birds fly freely and animals move
Let us behave nicely and improve

14)  Enjambment :

  दीप्ति गुप्ता

इसमें कविता  की पहली दो पंक्तियों के  अंतिम शब्द से  अगली दो-दो पंक्तियां   शुरू होती हैं और अंत तक  कविता इसी तरह लिखी जाती है  ! जैसे –

 

The word Enjambment comes from the French word for "to straddle". Enjambment  poem  is the  continuation of  stanzas  from  the  last  word  of previous   two lines  into the next.

                              

  ‘Tree’

    I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

झूठ न होता झूठ
संजीव
'झूठ कभी मत बोलना', शिक्षक ने दी सीख
पूछा बालक ने: 'कहाँ इससे बढ़कर झूठ।

झूठ न बोलें तो कहें, कैसे होगा काम?
काम बिना हो जाएगा, अपना काम तमाम।

झूठ बिना क्या कहेगा? नेता, पंडित, चोर।
रहे मौन तो नहीं क्या, होगा संकट घोर?

झूठ बिना थाने सभी, हो जायेंगे बंद।
सभी वकील-अदालतें, गायेंगे क्या छंद?

झूठ बिना क्या कहेंगे, दफ्तर जाकर लेट?
छापा मारे आयकर, जिस पर वह अपसेट।

झूठ बिना खुद सत्य भी, मर जाए बिन मौत।
क्या कह दें? पूछे पुलिस कौन हुआ है फौत?

'झूठ न होता झूठ गर सच दें उसको नाम।'
शिक्षक बोला, छात्र ने सविनय किया प्रणाम।।

जुबां तेज चलती आरी है

ईश्वर ने भी शीश नवाया।।

ममता से सुरभित क्यारी है

सारी दुनिया को महकाया।

हुई रुष्ट तो दोधारी है

समझो प्रलय सामने आया।।

का पहला अक्षर आगे आने वाले अक्षरों के साथ जुड कर संयुक्त रूप से
एक  सार्थक शब्द या सन्देश  का सृजन  करता है- जो कविता का
शीर्षक भी हो सकता है! जैसे&
 

THE ROSE

T hirty two steps through the yellow 

  green grass led me to you.

H aving to choose which one, my heart 

  will no doubt choose you.   

E very rose bloomed quite differently 

 though nothing meretricious like you.

R ed is knewn to be the favourite 

  colour to man,colour blinded, my 

  soul desired you.

O of all the roses, my senses were 

  captivated and comly to you. 

S ome man may pick up more than one 

  rose, but I only want you.

E ven mother nature pulchritudinous 

  can't compare you.

द्याना सबको यथोचित, कारया करे करतार..
क्षमा वीर को सोहती, दे उदार ही दान. 
रीझे कवि सौंदर्य पर, संत तजे अभिमान..
कन्या को शालीनता, सुत को संयम-सीख.
विग्य सदा कहते रहे, ज़्यादा रह कम दीख..
तालमेल से शांति-सुख, अहंकार दुख-ख़ान.
सदाचार से स्नेह हो, नष्ट करे अभिमान..
रसना रस की दास बन, नष्ट करे सम्मान.
सविनय सीखे सबक जो, वही बने गुणवान..

Couplet  :

समध्वनियों   वाले शब्दों  पे  अंत होने वाली   दो  लयात्मक  पंक्तियों   की कविता  को   couplet  कहा  जाता  है !   दोनों पंक्तियों  का मीटर  समान होता है !  जैसे -

Watering rain on the leaves
Orchid plant mutely sleeps

Under the pillow raining night
Memory coins may or might!
